Virginia Tech Women's Club Volleyball is a student organization registered through the Division of Student Affairs and the Department of Recreational Sports at Virginia Tech. We are affiliated with the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) and USA Volleyball (USAV). The purpose of VTWCVB is to promote the sport of volleyball and provide opportunities for women to play in competitive tournaments at the collegiate club level. Membership is open to registered female students of the Virginia Tech community.
The club’s members are selected through a try-out process at the beginning of each semester. Members who wish to try-out should visit the club website for information on times and locations for try-outs. Players will be selected to participate on either the Maroon or Orange Team.
Each team will have approximately 10-12 team members to allow for a high level of participation by all team members. Teams practice Monday through Thursday, participate in weightlifting weekly, as well as travel and host our own tournaments.
All members are dedicated, hardworking and committed to the club. They are asked to make every effort to schedule classes around practice times and tournaments and are held accountable to maintaining a high academic standard.
